Born in 1973 in Rockford IL, Jenny Mathews is an artist and illustrator. Mathews works with a refined and sophisticated hand, demanding perfection in her realistic illustrations and acrylics.
Mathews studied at Rock Valley College. Her work varies from teaching Young Rembrandts at the Rockford Art Museum to court room drawings for local news. Her work has been featured on many album covers, drum kits, on the Cover of Harley Woman Magazine, and many posters and printed materials for roller derby leagues. She recently published her first children's book "The Toughskin Rhinoceros Wrangler Company" and participated in the Pecatonica Library Art Gala 2007-2013 exhibition, The Steppin' Out Art Gala 2011 with Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation in Houston, Texas, and The Art Takes Time Square project in NYC 2012. She was accepted as a featured artist by the late Tom Littrell at 317 Studio & Gallery and enjoyed the last two years showing along side Tom at both the 317 Gallery and Ameriprise Gallery.
Mathews lives in Rockford, where she continues to work from her studio at home with her two children. Her website www.tinydrawings.blogspot.com is updated regularly with new work.
