About the artist:
R.L. Weber was born to a middle-class family in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Early on in life he gravitated to the arts and nature through his family outings into the wilderness and nurtured by his mother who is a musician and photographer. He attended Northern Illinois University and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, emphasis in Illustration, in 1989. Working in the heart of downtown Chicago while illustrating for major clients including Walt Disney, Warner Bros. and high-level advertising campaigns instilled an awe for the city, its people and the round-the-clock workings of the ‘machine’. This appreciation for the city along with the country has widened his interests in various subjects which he captures on canvas with his own personal flair.
An award winning artist, R.L. Weber is concentrating on fine art painting en plein air and in his studio in Belvidere, Illinois, where he resides with his wife and 3 children. He has exhibited in numerous group and one-man shows around the country and tutors individuals and groups alike.
